There is over 5000 types of searches available via the Shelcom online searches portal. Below are a few examples of the most common searches.  If you are still unsure of which search is appropriate for you, please feel free to contact our helpdesk on 1300 655 760 available Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Company Searches:

Current Company Extracts- Shows current details of all companies registered in Australia: ACN, ABN, status, entity type, addresses, updates and any charges held. They also
provide a list of the company officers, date of birth, positions held and dates of appointment.

Historical Company Extracts- Provide the same principal company information as current extract, but add previously registered and non-current information.

Relational Company Extracts- The extracts identify the linkages and relationships between companies registered with ASIC. Such information includes companies in which the subject organisation is a shareholder, subsidiary companies for which the subject organisation is the ultimate holding company, foreign companies for which the subject organisation is a local agent in Australia, and licenses held by the organisation.

Charges Extract- Includes a summary list of all charges lodged against a company, and provides details of the charges in question.

Business Names and Extracts- These extracts provide details of organizations registered with each of the state and territory jurisdictions.

Credit Report Searches:

Credit Risk Report- Information of companies and businesses including court actions, collections, payment performance, company structure.

E Check Reports- Available in 3 types, these reports combine ATO data, ASIC company document listings, litigation check on entity (ACN, ARBN or sole trader), ASIC business name / company extract, and litigation check on the principals.

Veda Individual- Displays public record, cached ASIC or business name information plus details such as payment defaults, default judgements, court proceedings & external administration.

Veda Business- Displays public record, cached ASIC or business name information plus details such as payment defaults, default judgments, court proceedings & eternal administration.

Veda Company- Displays public record, cached ASIC or business name information plus details such as payment defaults, default judgments, court proceedings and external administration.

Personal Searches:

ITSA Bankruptcy Search- The Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia (ITSA) operates the bankruptcy registry where debtors petitions are lodged, debt agreement proposals are processed and public records on insolvency are maintained. 

National Land Ownership Reports- They provide complete National check of Land Ownership based on property ownership searches in every State and Territory.

Property Searches (VIC):

Title Search- A certificate of title or title deed is a legal document confirming possession of land including the description, the registered proprietor(s), or any instruments, dealing or easements associated with the land title.

Registered Plans- A copy of the survey plan or registered plan as lodged at the Land Titles Office. Perform a plan search showing the surveyor, area, easements and boundary information.

Dealings / Instruments- Theses are copies of mortgages, transfers etc showing the status of a dealing, location, processing state, controlling party details and relevant dates for a nominated dealing number.

Address Search- A VIC address search (Index Search) provides access to title and plan details based on street address. Perfome this search if you do not have access to the title reference or volume/folio.

Title History- Not to be confused with a standard title search, the history search provides information on the status of a land title prior to settlement.

Titles Affected- This search returns an online statement identifying each title affected by a given instrument. The result identifies the type of instrument, its registration date, image status and relevant title(s) by volume/folio.

Body Corporate Searches- Owners Corporation information is available free via a tittle search in Victoria, however if you are in need of additional body corporate data, the Owners Corporation Premium Report is recommended.
