Superannuation Deed Upgrades
08 November 2009
After consultation with Andrew Gray our Superannuation Lawyer the following facts became evident in relation to Superannuation Deed Upgrades. (SMSF’S)
- Existing SMSF deeds vary as a result of different solicitors preparing them.
- Existing SMSF deeds have been prepared over different time frames reflecting different legislation.
- Existing SMSF deeds should be upgraded every 5 years.
As a consequence to the above Andrew has suggested that the process of upgrading SMSF”s should necessitate a legal perusal of the existing deed.
Shelcom Corporate Services is now in a position to offer to all Accounting Firms Australia wide a very simple process to upgrade the SMSF deeds of their clients.
Detailed below are the five easy steps to make the SMSF Upgrade simple and cost effective.
Step 1. Self Managed Superannuation Fund deeds are posted from Accounting Firm to Shelcom Corporate Services.
Step 2. Deeds are couriered from Shelcom to Andrew Gray for review and instruction.
Step 3. Instruction Sheets are prepared by Andrew Gray for each deed and then couriered back to Shelcom.
Step 4. Shelcom prepares The Deed of Variation and The Replacement Deed (Notices, Product Disclosure, and Letters Included) as per the Instruction Sheet.
Step 5. On completion, Documents are Express posted to Accounting Firm together with a Shelcom Corporate Services letter for the client in relation to instructions for execution.
Andrew Gray is highly regarded as a Superannuation Expert. The current deed used by Shelcom Corporate Services as prepared by Andrew Gray encompasses all current legislation regarding income splitting, pension provisions to minors etc.
As new legislation is passed Andrew Gray updates the existing deed and provides to Shelcom Corporate Services a new generic Self Managed Superannuation Fund deed reflecting the changes.
The Pricing of The Shelcom Package is very competitively priced. Some solicitors are currently charging between $1000 and $2000 for a SMSF upgrade.
Shelcom Corporate Services is a family business that began in 1987. Shelcom provides Corporate/Secretarial Services for approximately 500 firms of accountants and solicitors. We work with large and medium sized firms and sole practicioners.
